FREE & CONFIDENTIAL services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, & victims of crime, serving Grant County from Moses Lake.
New Hope provides a 24-Hour Crisis Line (1-888-560-6027) for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and victims of crime, medical advocacy via trained advocates that can accompany victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to medical facilities, legal advocacy to accompany and support the victim throughout the legal process, community advocacy through referrals to therapists and other agencies that can provide help and support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, peer support groups, and trainings and presentations for schools, community agencies and organizations as well as for the business community to educate that domestic violence and sexual assault affects the whole community, not just the victim. SkillSource provides career seeker services for adults and youth in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Adams, and Okanogan Counties. Career seekers can stop in to ask questions and attend an orientation at a center in Wenatchee, Moses Lake, Othello, or Omak.

Anthony Garcia is accredited by the WDVA to assist with VA Claims for Disability, Health, and Burial benefits as an employee of the County. He also manages applications for and disbursements of the Grant County Veterans Assistance Funds.
Types of Assistance That May Be Available:
Utilities to prevent cut off
Food and necessary items for hygiene and health
Rent or Mortgage assistance
Burial assistance
Catastrophic Emergencies as determined on an individual basis

The agency serves a six-county area (Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Lincoln and Okanogan Counties) known as Planning and Service Area 8 (PSA8). AACCW receives state and federal funds to develop, support and maintain a comprehensive and coordinated service delivery system for elderly and disabled adults. The objective of these programs is to maintain individuals at the most appropriate (least restrictive) level of service and to minimize premature or unnecessary residential care placement.

American Legion Veterans Service organization. A place of camaraderie and assistance, with a dash of community service.
The Moses Lake American Legion is actively involved with the community, often partnering with VFW Post 24 for patriotic events. They also host a canteen where they have food and drinks available for members and guests to purchase. Check their Facebook page for updates on upcoming meal specials, including Steak Dinners on the first Friday of the month and open Coffee from 7am – 9am every Saturday.

WorkSource is a statewide partnership of state, local, and nonprofit agencies that provides an array of employment and training services to job seekers and employers in Washington.
Federal law entitles veterans and eligible spouses priority access to WorkSource services. This includes priority referrals to jobs that are listed with WorkSource, as well as other employment and training programs.
If you were discharged after 11 Sept 2001, you can sign up for intensive one-on-one employment support through the federal Gold Card program to help with your job hunt.
In addition to individualized job hunt support, local WorkSource offices host a variety of free classes and workshops on a regular basis, including Resume Writing, Job Search Strategies, Office Computer Basics, and Interview Practice Sessions.
In addition to providing employment assistance, WorkSource markets the advantages of hiring veterans to local businesses and connects veterans to services that help with health care, food, clothing, or housing.
