Sage Advocacy Center’s dedicated team provides free and confidential advocacy and support services for adults and children impacted by or experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes. Sage Advocacy Center offers wrap-around support services for domestic and sexual violence victims of all ages. Services include general advocacy, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, therapy, support groups, emergency shelter, emergency financial assistance, a 24/7 helpline, a food bank and so much more.
“Last year, we served more than a thousand survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes. All of our services are free.”

Housing support for homeless or at-risk-of-homelessness veterans with a DD214, with any discharge that is not dishonorable. Temporary motel stay, first 6 months rental assistance, help with utility deposits or past-due bills, emergency clothing and housing supplies, up to 6 months childcare assistance, can provide rides/bus tickets/vehicle repair costs/relocation fees.
This SSVF program is provided through Hopesource (in Kittitas county) and a grant from the Washington VA. It serves residents of Grant, Okanogan, Douglas, Chelan, Adams, and Kittitas counties by helping with obtaining documentation of veteran status, eviction prevention, finding housing, securing benefits, navigating healthcare, and more. YWCA NCW focuses our efforts on the most relevant issues in our community. We strive to eliminate homelessness, end racism and discrimination, and provide life skills education and job training for women and women with children who are struggling with housing and getting a living-wage income.

John Tamngin is the Veterans Service Officer for Chelan County. With the help of his Administrative Assistant, Anna Witherington, the Chelan County Veteran Service Office assists with applying for Veterans Benefits and filing VA Claims, provides resources and referrals in the community for the Veteran’s needs, and controls distribution of the county’s Veterans Relief Funds.
