The Wenatchee Valley Veterans Hall is a safe and dedicated space for Veteran use without the need to pay rental fees or be part of an organization. Located at 1206 N. Wenatchee Avenue, the 3,000 square foot space (former banquet room in the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 204) has been renovated to meet its new anticipated uses. There is a “coffee station” complete with cabinets, counters, sink, and kitchen workspace, a stage with ramp access that can be used for presentations or awards, 2 spacious bathrooms, meeting space, and 2 offices. One office is used by Ron Bruno, a Service Officer with Disabled American Veterans (DAV). The Veterans Hall is available for use by Veterans and veteran-aligned individuals or groups at little to no cost. Please coordinate with the Veterans Hall staff for scheduling and availability. Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council is a private not-for-profit corporation primarily serving the residents of Chelan and Douglas Counties. We also serve Okanogan, Grant, Adams, and Lincoln Counties through our AmeriCorps programs. We assist individuals and families to move out of poverty into a lifestyle that promotes a safer and healthier living environment. Sage Advocacy Center’s dedicated team provides free and confidential advocacy and support services for adults and children impacted by or experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes. Sage Advocacy Center offers wrap-around support services for domestic and sexual violence victims of all ages. Services include general advocacy, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, therapy, support groups, emergency shelter, emergency financial assistance, a 24/7 helpline, a food bank and so much more. “Last year, we served more than a thousand survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes. All of our services are free.” Our crisis line for victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault requesting advocacy is available 24/7 and can be reached by dialing 509-663-7446. YWCA NCW focuses our efforts on the most relevant issues in our community. We strive to eliminate homelessness, end racism and discrimination, and provide life skills education and job training for women and women with children who are struggling with housing and getting a living-wage income.   Provides transitional housing for single women and families, emergency shelter for women, job training, and clothing assistance. “The Bunker is a place where the coffee is always hot and goodies are on the table. A place of no judgement and fun conversation. The Bunker is a home away from home. A place where Veterans can come for camaraderie with those you don’t have to explain anything to.”   Officially registered as NCW Veterans Serving Veterans, The Bunker (as it is more commonly referred to) is a non-profit in Wenatchee formed in 2008 for the sole purpose of helping veterans in need, whether the need be VA paperwork support, emergency assistance, or referrals to other veteran resources in the area. The Bunker is an all-volunteer run organization, with monthly board meetings open to the public on the second Wednesday of each month at 1000 at their location in Wenatchee.   Main area of support is Veteran camaraderie through coffee, snacks, games, and conversation. The Bunker also provides assistance with the VA system (healthcare, benefits, etc) such as filing claims and appeals. Volunteers with the Bunker are also known for proactive rapid response when veterans in need reach out. Thanks to the generosity of community donations, there is also a food, clothing, and toiletries pantry available for those in need.   Located in the Harle Shopping Center, between Cricket and Sumo.
